Equine Athlete Program

The Equine Athlete Program (EAP) is designed for all disciplines, ages and levels of riding. It gives a great baseline of how your horse is currently working and performing. For some owners, it is peace of mind that they can continue to progress with the horse's training. For others, they know the horse just doesn't seem quite right and our program helps to identify and manage the issue. Below are the 5 components to the EAP:

01

CONSULT

Using the information from your completed EAP Questionnaire you and your veterinarian will have an in-depth discussion of your horses history, your concerns and your goals prior to your appointment.

02

HEALTH EXAMINATION

A complete physical examination evaluating the heart, lungs, eyes, skin, palpitation of all limbs and overall physical condition.

03

GAIT ANALYSIS

Using the Equinosis an advanced diagnostic system to objectively measure your horses movement on hard and soft surfaces to identify any asymmetry in the horses gait.

04

BASELINE X-RAYS

Depending on which Level program you choose, we provide x-rays from one specific area of concern, right up to full baseline x-rays.

To provide a comprehensive baseline of the musculoskeletal system of your horse, our Level 1 program includes x-rays of all four hooves and legs. Hoof x-rays are essential for understanding the lower limb conformation and overall hoof health. X-rays of the fetlocks, knees, hocks, and stifles allow us to understand if there is any underlying joint disease.

05

REPORT

You will recieve a detailed report outlining all findings on recommendations for any treatments, rehabilitation or management plans.
